Tea grade (6-10mm cut) Peppermint leaves.
Peppermint is antispasmodic, antiseptic, anaesthetic, astringent, analgesic and diaphoretic.
It’s considered a tonic, decongestant, stimulant, stomachic and antiemetic.
Common medicinal use include: relieves nausea and motion sickness, helps IBS symptoms, aids in relieving hangovers, decrease flatulence, calms, restores and lends clarity, relieves toothaches and headaches, clears throat, boosts energy.
Peppermint, like many other herbs, can interact with other herbs, supplements, or drugs. It is possible to be allergic to peppermint, so if on any medication talk to your doctor before using peppermint. Peppermint should not be used by young children.
1 heaped teaspoon for 200ml cup. Use water just off the boil, steep for 2-3 minutes then pour. Tea leaves can be re-infused several times.
